|Do you know that BitTorrent and anonymity are not the same things?
If you use BitTorrent, you absolutely need to hide your identity and data. If you really want to keep your activity and downloads private, your best way involves routing your BitTorrent connection through secure internet connection.
The best way to provide you with secure and encrypted connection which hides your traffic from your ISP and government agencies is a VPN or Virtual Private Network service.
ExtraTorrent is happy to recommend Trust.Zone VPN service to create the best tool to protect your torrenting.
Trust.Zone VPN is a special tool to make you invisible while using BitTorrent or downloading any files. It hides your IP address, protects your identity and data. You will stay 100% anonymous with Trust.Zone
How Trust.Zone VPN works?
- It creates a secure tunnel between you and website (for example, torrent tracker)
- The tunnel is secure and 100% encrypted.
- Your IP address is hidden while you are browsing over the web. Your IP address is replaced by Trust.Zone VPN server ip address
- You are able to surf the web anonymously.
- Nobody can track you traffic. Download torrents, stream video and music, watch TV shows without getting caught
- ISP cannot track your activity
- Access geo-restricted content – watch country restricted YouTube video, watch BBC iPlayer, Hulu, Netflix and etc.
- Use VOIP Applications like Skype and Viber with no restrictions
- Unlimited speed and unlimited bandwidth.
- No logging
- Many VPN servers over the world.
- Available on all platforms - Windows, iOS, Android and more
- The full support of p2p, file sharing and BitTorrent
- You can use 3 VPN connections at the same time – from laptop, from home and from your office
- BitCoin accepted
ExtraTorrent reached an agreement with Trust.Zone VPN – every member of ExtraTorrent can use Trust.Zone totally for free for next 5 days. Enjoy!
Besides that, protecting yourself with VPN - you are saving ExtraTorrent website!

well if the Boss says i should do it then it's done
Sounds good but i always been wary of these vpn company's . First, can trust zone be forced to hand over meta data to the feds ? If so can it be traced back to the end user via payment method or any other info they're servers might collect? Thanks

Thank's Sam for the vpn link!!
The name is trustzone is a registered trademark owned by ARM Inc. and they've just started this company this year, that is two red flags right there. Everyone is new at some point but choosing a name that they will likely be sued over suggest they don't have the legal knowledge to protect themselves let alone anyone else.
After installing it grossly reduces my d/l speed.
Normally I have 10Mbps bandwidth with approx 1Mbps d/l speed.
Using trustzone reducing it to 10kbps:(

Trust Zone is actually some mobile processor thing. They would need to change their name.

people should check before signing up to cetain vpn companies, look what country they are based in (servers located) if there in country like america , england for example, the authorities can ask for your details to be sent to them, so basically you aint secure once that happens, choose countries like for example holland has no laws in handing your details over... and people pay for a vpn not use them free ones itll only slow your speeds down as your sharing your connection with many more, allways pay there cheap enough to use per year...

Just becaUSE this is ET's best choice, i mean its thier own VPN service right what else would they say. It doesnt make it The Best Choice, in fact I can think of at least one other that is by much far better Private Internet Access is in my opinion The best check it out for yourself before you settle for a ET service that is bound to fail just like its seedbox service before it failed....remember just because ET promotes it and just because ET staff sell the shyte out of it, that doesnt make it good let alone best......
OK this entire article seems a little dangerous to me so I will break a habit of a life time and comment on this site.
1 - If you don't trust your email use blur from dnt.albine - you can create free masked email accounts that forward to your email, delete after use.
2 - Do research b4 joining any VPN. Country laws matter a legal anonymous VPN will be in a country that allows the retention of no data logs.
3 - Look at what they have said they will do if sent a DMA or receive a court order, some state clearly their actions.
4 - Use anonymous payment method if available. In USA for example you can get masked single use credit cards so you cant pay more than you expect. [See Blur - paid version]
5 - Don't just use a VPN and expect to be magically secure, Unless you secure your connection you can get dns leakage where your actually using your own ip. SECURE IT when you close it you should have no internet available.
6 - All VPNs will slow your connection depending on distance to server, load and server broadband speed. They have different types of secure connection •OpenVPN, L2TP, and PPTP Protocols. The amount of servers, speed of servers and locations matter.
7. This sounds stupid but ensure it allows p2p traffic, not all do.
After getting vpn do a little research into securing your browsers and computer. Not much point using a vpn encrypted tunnel if your browser is storing all the information and passing it on the likes of Google.
Before My comment I wanted to answer Dean82's question
I will be simple as I am not bright
A bit torrent is (let's call it a tiny bit of software) I'm that is wrong
But when you click on something to download you download the bit torrent which allows you to connect with all the seeders and leeches connected to the TV show or Movie you are downloading.
Utorrent is definitaley a piece of software that interprets the bit torrent and allows you to download it.
Every download site, Extra Torrent, kickass torrent, the pirate bay all are bit torrent sites.
Utorrent is one of the programs that allow you to download whatever.
To understand my nonsense betterly. Google what is bit torrent and many explanations will come up
While I have no problem making contributions. the statement
If you use BitTorrent, you absolutely need to hide your identity and data, is a lie.
I have used bit torrentsites for almost ten years. I have never had an issue and don't expect one.
Perhaps different countries or different ISP's make it difficult. But I live in Canada and my ISP does not care what I do with my unlimited usage.
As I said in the other story. Create a paypal account and I will donate.
But I have never needed to hide. Perhaps I am one of the lucky ones.

very good vpn
Australia today pasted laws that enable the government to block access to torrent sites. They will also have the power to block a person's VPN similar to that in the UK. So how does one continue to download overseas programs with this kind of block?
BitTorrent and Anonymity are not the Same Things!
Get a Paypal acoount
SpiritShadow, VPN allows to forward traffic via port 443. This port will never blocked by ISP because it means https:// protocol
If it's blocked by government - then u can't access gmail, yahoo and etc. So, VPN could be partially blocked but not completely
And on and on it goes. Whats good today is dead tomorrow. Its gonna change a lot and quickly. I guess its time to dance as fast as you can.

I agree with jeffDoolittle, there is no point in using any VPN if you do not double check whether they keep logs, which laws their head office is subjected to and do not secure your computer. Some extremely important tips:
1 - to avoid DNS leaks even when using VPN, change your DNS to your VPN servers (ask your VPN provider for help if you don't know how to do this, or just do some research on the web).
2 - disable webRTC on your browser (there are several approaches, again, do some research)
3 - disable flash on your browser (again, research)
4 - use a good ad and spy blocker such as uBlock origin for Firefox
5 - go for a vpn that has a kill switch
6 - never ever store searches in your browser (ie set up browser to clean up ALL history and cookies when you close it down)
7 - regularly check for DNS leaks and webRTC leaks even if you secured yourself
8 - do not keep the password provided by your ISP on your rooter. Create your own and make it as arcane as you can (for instance, use a password which relies on cultural knowledge which is not valued in the 21st century. you'll be less likely to be found out)
9 - for extra security, use two different computers: download on one that is connected to the web, store and watch on one that is not, or store files on external HD's which you only connect when you're not online.
10 - if u use one machine, connect with physical ethernet cable, not wifi, and pull cable out when you are not on your vpn (if you do not have the kill switch thing)
Private Internet Access (PIA) do not keep logs and are not subjected to the snoopers charter if you live in the UK.
I prefer to use both a seedbox and a VPN.
If you're slightly paranoid, then make sure that both the seedbox and the VPN accept anonymous bit coin payments.
If you're real paranoid, get a no-contract "burner" smart phone that has lots of data and a hot-spot.
Purchase pre-paid cards with cash to pay for the phone, that way there's no billing address tied to the phone.
Use the phone's hot-spot to access your seed box through your VPN.
If you're super paranoid, be sure to wear your tinfoil hat whenever you download.
